This most modern hi-tech factory was set up and brought into operation in 1989 at Hub Industrial Trading Estates, Lasbella (Balouchistan) under the technological support and know-how of USA-based R.P.Scherer Corporation, an industrial leader in the manufacturing of hard shell gelatin capsules and other drugs delivery system. Gelcaps, a pioneering hi-tech venture produces two-piece, Halal gelatin capsules conforming to U.S.P. and B.P. standards from size ??longated, to size ??that have snap-lock system with two stage-locking features enabling the capsules to be opened easily for filling and then securely locked for packaging and distribution. A team of foreign trained staff ensures 24 hours quality control during production supervises manufacturing process. Gelcaps plant is fully air-conditioned and the manufacturing process has automated humidity control and sanitized atmosphere, which eliminates introduction of bacterial risk. Production standards are meticulously observed according to U.S.Pharmacopoeia and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) prevalent in the pharmaceutical industry throughout the world.
